I also like it because it looks cool and functional. It lives up to all of the cool hipster standards, but it also retains the sensibility that most hipster builds lack… that is – it keeps the fenders. Most of the new trackers that are showing up on Insta-tum-book are missing front and rear fenders. Great for photo ops at the beach, not great for actually deflecting rocks and keeping mud off of your waxed-cotton or flannel-clad backside.
They also integrate some nice, sturdy-looking Sandqvist bags and a rack on the back. This bucks the current trend of hand-crafted premium leather bags and a skateboard/surfboard/bicycle rack that seems to turn up on every hipster build that I see as of late (yes, bikes are now being toted around on, well bikes).
The ground clearance isn’t anything to write home about, but let’s face it: If you’re going to do serious ‘froadin’ or pull some legitimate FMX action, you’re not going to be on this machine. Despite height, the suspension isn’t stock, and would probably be up to the task as long as you weren’t planning any ‘Long Way Round’-esque journeys.
All-in-all, I like most of the Wrenchmonkees builds, and I am using this one to model my old Yammie after (since I don’t have original ideas of my own).
-Cheers!

check out wrenchmonkees here.

I love the Monkee #60, partially because it’s dark, but not quite murdered out.
