It is totally apparent in this video that the guy rev-bombing the cars a hundred feet ahead (with their windows rolled up who couldn&#8217;t hear him anyways) totally saved his life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cars were floating the light as they had entered the intersection after the light turned red. &#8220;At least I was across the line before it turned red!&#8221; We&#8217;ve all been there- two wheels or not. It&#8217;s still a citation waiting to happen, as most cops who are trying to make their quotas will tell you (Right, I forgot, police don&#8217;t enforce quotas- lol).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So anyways, the fact that he pulled in the clutch and rev-bombed the bridge and himself and anyone behind him to let the cars <em>in front of him<\/em> know that he was coming saved his life. So yes, loud pipes do save lives because the stooges that take a second to pull in the clutch while they&#8217;re bouncing the rev limiter and floating valves also slow down in that instant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s what saved this asshole, whose horn was apparently not facing forward and most likely didn&#8217;t work, since he couldn&#8217;t use it. Slowing down also saves lives. I&#8217;m guessing slowing down and looking both ways (you know, what we blame cars for not doing) saves more lives than loud pipes.
