Revival Cycles is responsible for some pretty cool builds- and like everyone else- some not so great builds. That doesn\u2019t qualify them to promote and host a show.<\/p>\n
But they have for 10 years in Austin!! <\/p>\n
Despite my feelings on the matter, I\u2019ll give Revival proper recognition, because I couldn\u2019t go to Texas and put on a show at all, even a crummy one. <\/p>\n
I think that LA has a certain mood that didn\u2019t jive with the dim, gallery-like presentation that permeated the nights, and the silent, stagnant feeling of the days spent in a hot Southern California parking lot.<\/p>\n
SoCal has its fair share of shows, and they are all lively with conversation, music and the occasional sound of engines or load speaker banter.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m thankful for the opportunity to look at some great bikes and see some fabulous fabrications, but I wish there was a bit more raucous and jovial. I guess it\u2019s who you hung out with, not that you hung out.<\/p>\n
Maybe next year will be better if Revival Cycles brings the Handbuilt back for round two.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
