First Street Shakedown

Ordinary riders doing extraordinary things

First Street Shakedown

Well, the time has come. The battle worn VFR had the first street shakedown on the DIY fairings and battle castings.

Nothing came loose and all the OEM hardware is locked in place. It wasn’t hours on the freeway, but it was over rough city streets and the “Drag Strip” with the crest near Steady Garage.

I have vid, but I can tell you that the brakes stop harder than a rock at the bottom of a well, and that V4 sings.

I will do a full post and maybe a vid before I get her back to Paul. It’s pretty amazing how well a goofy home brew idea blocks the wind and makes the bike feel extremely stable at speed. I feel like it’s not dirty enough yet. I think I’m going to ask the guys at the Warhammer Cafe in town what they would do if this was a model.

It just looks too clean yet.
