It’s the time of year to be aware of deer!

Lots of riders are dusting off the seats and filling the gas tanks since winter is behind us. Just remember that you’re not the only ones getting out for the first time since the snow has melted.

Lots of bovidae are eager to get out and explore the world with babies in tow. Cows are in the fields (and occasionally across the road), bison in the natural parks are going HAM on grass, ready to fatten up after winter’s fast.

Sometimes they are just standing around minding their own business when a motocrosser decides to leap over a blind crest and join the herd.

One of the internet’s most famous bovids, Angry Ram, even went viral a few years back due to his epic RAMpages.

At any rate it’s not the rut, but you can still get a horn in the butt- if you’re not careful.
