Junkin with Junky

I will be talking about this on this week’s show. I little tip and trick I guess you could say.
As a DITK* father I throw a lot -A LOT- of stuff away or in the recycling. This little vid is just a fun look at what I keep and why. I didn’t even mention all of the styrofoam that we recycle, or the plastic.
I have seen many people on the web who are makers and recyclers that take the stuff that even yours truly would toss out, and make amazing things. Some people make crafty goods, while a little girl and her family that I saw in one of  UnnecessaryInventions videos was using sea trash to make stylish bags and backpacks.
While the latter was to bring attention to ocean pollution, my vid is just a fun way to show that sometimes your recycle bin may hold the key to making a fairing, or a simple gift to give your friend. And I think that since a company has already gone through the trouble of mining the resources and processing the raw materials into what I am using, it’s another way to appreciate the industry that provided us with the “trash” that we take for granted. I didn’t think of that before – maybe I’ll put it in this week’s script!
Anyways, at some point I’ll probably try to put this into a proper video editor and add a cool voice over, add subtitles, and put Patron names in it!  Some day, but in the mean time, remember to upcycle, and thanks for your support.
