NitrousChris

Ordinary riders doing extraordinary things

NitrousChris

This week on the podcast we had the privilege to interview a fan of the show. Dare I say, one of the biggest fans of the show.  Chris Singsime was one of the first people to contact us after hearing about us on the Re-Cycle Santa Cruz podcast page.

The thing I love about podcasting is that the interaction with listeners is more like a family picnic or party with friends…
It is far from the anonymity associated with radio shows, and it’s easier to connect when the setting and topics are more intimate.

This is how I was able to connect with Chris and secure an interview with him. Turns out, he is one of the most creative individuals I’ve talked to in a while.

A fabricator/welder by day, Chris is a full-blown racer on the weekends. When he’s not wrenching on bikes and trying to trim a few hundredths of a second off of his E.T.s, he’s making art, knives, mugs, and all sorts of great stuff with metal.

He loves driving around without a real destination, and he absorbs the history and presence of the areas that he finds himself in. A history buff and aircraft enthusiast, he is always seeking new adventures and a few twisties to carve on his KTM.

It was my pleasure to spend some time picking his brain about drag racing, nitrous, and “long bikes”. His sense of humor and cool personality puts him on our list of people we wouldn’t mind having a beer and a slice of pizza with (while talking about flux and Mississippi River boats of course).

Look him up of Facebook @Chris Singsime… maybe you’ll have the pleasure of speaking with him yourself.

-Cheers!
