Ran when parked

Ordinary riders doing extraordinary things

Ran when parked

It’s been almost a month since I have posted anything on here. Sometimes it’s hard being the sole provider for material and all social interaction on the outlets that we maintain. Sometimes I feel like an old bike that ‘Ran when parked’. Just kick out the cobwebs and add some fresh gas right? It just needs a little charge on the battery and it’ll be good to go, right? The hell, you say!!

Facebook is a black hole of distraction, as is YouTube, but those are the areas that we’re wasting time trying to penetrate.
Work also plays a part in all of this, as in, I have to do it to pay for hosting and website shoobie-doobie. At least work doesn’t have to be all straight and narrow. There is room for fun there too!

Sometimes parts look better with a harpie in a bikini holding them.

I can assure you that I have several things on the workbench. Both literally and figuratively. I’ve had a piece slated forever about boot sizes and gear sizing in general.
In line with the technical segments that have been featured on a handful of the last podcast episodes, I have been working on general maintenance tips as well as some simple modification/fabrication tips.

I also want to get back to work on my project bike that has been sitting derelict for at least two months now. It’s the victim of my lack of enthusiasm to up my eBay game or go back to dancing on Taco Tuesdays at Tito’s Topless Tampenade and Tapas Tavern and Titty Bar. There’s also the race seat I want to finish for my part-time tracker.

Top all of this off with a healthy dose of ride-itis and you’ve basically summed up. my last couple of months.  Wait, I don’t know if ride-itis is the lack of riding or the need to ride. I have the latter. I resolve to get out more, cover more events this year, and to keep engaged in the vibrant scene that is the glue holding all of us together in this crazy two-wheeled world.
