Solstice Slam 2023

Hey all,
It’s that time of year again. Solstice Slam is an annual listener submission show where we invite you to share your amazing ride stories and motorcycle-related tales with other listeners on the show.

This year, Solstice Slam has a theme: Explore your world.
2023’s theme invites you explore your surrounding area in search of a landmark, building or location that emulates another place in the world. The best part: it doesn’t even have to be on earth or even exist!

That’s right! It can be a fictional location as well. Hawai’ians can claim Jurrassic Park and the island from Lost on their list of possible locations (although both film sets may be hard to access on a motorcycle).
If you live in Pasadena and you can get a pic of city hall – that’s fair game as it was city hall in the fictional city of Pawnee, Indiana on the show Parks and Recreation.

Los Angeles is fortunate to have Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Venice and several other locations that resemble places all over the USA, globe and solar system. Apparently Parma, Ohio resembles Parma, Italy, and that is what you need to research and explore. Find your local doppelganger and send us your story!

Send pics or video of you and/or your bike and a little breakdown of the location that you have selected to slam@creative-riding.com by September 20th, 2023. You will be entered into our prize pool which includes stickers, swag and maybe a nice surprise.

Is this a Martian arroyo or the antelope slot canyon in Paige, Arizona? Use your imagination and go crazy. The only stipulation is that we would like you to have your motorcycle in the shot, or at least prove that you rode your motorcycle to the location.
