Since first finding out about WIR’s Top 10 Bikes in 2016, they’ve sorta grown on us. We’ve interviewed 3 of the competitors, and watched the group’s presence grow online and at the track.
They compete in what is known as Real Street Drags, and according to one of the founders, Jason Gulmire, they based their format loosely on the Street Outlaws television series.
If you’re interested in finding out what it’s all about, you can find them on Facebook under WIR’s Top 10 Bikes, just like the name says.
After a second successful yet challenging year in the books, the crew are changing up the rules for 2018. Here is the breakdown:
“It’s decided!
This is how the list will operate next season!
All pairings, all rounds, random chip (or card) pull,
2 points for a win,
1 point for a loss while crossing the stripe,
0 points for a break.
1 point each round to best RT.
In the event of any ties, a run off of the tied pairs, will happen at the last event.
In the case of a rain out [where] the run offs can’t happen the ties will be decided by the most wins between the 2 ,
If still tied then it will be the one with the most RT bonus points.
Should be a fun change!”
