KTM team items stolen in Murrieta

This Sucks!!!

What a horrible thing to have happen, even if you’re a team that has factory backing, money doesn’t fall out of the sky and in to your team coffers.
So many teams have had to fold or put athletes out of a ride, which kind of shows how dire the circumstances are becoming for American motorcycle racing. Then something like this happens.
With low attendance and an ever-creeping bear market on the horizon, more and more teams are figuring out where to make cuts and how to save money. Apparently these same circumstances have driven someone else to steal, and now try to figure out how to fence some very identifiable stolen goods.
It’s just a cryin’ shame that when you try to excel at something and rise to a competitive level on your own dollar, there’s always someone there waiting for you at the top to kick you in the eye and take what you’ve earned.
Aside from hoping that the team’s belongings are rapidly recovered, I also hope that this theft was committed by someone out side of the sport. That is to say, someone who should know how hard it is to achieve and retain sponsorship, and someone who should be supporting this great pastime and sport instead of pilfering from it.
I hope that it was random thieves who saw an opportunity and not a motorcyclist that would have been considered a brother/sister in any other circumstances.
