The Quail Motorcycle Gathering Announces All-Female Fireside Chat Panel and Cycle World Hosted VIP Dining Experience with Peter Egan
The premier motorcycling culture celebration will feature its first-ever all-female panel as well as an exclusive dinner honoring special guest and legendary motorcycle journalist Peter Egan
Carmel, Calif. (February 27, 2019) – The Quail Motorcycle Gathering, a Peninsula Hotels Signature Motoring Event, has announced an all-female Fireside Chat panel for its 11th Anniversary celebration on May 4, 2019. New this year, Cycle World will host an after-hours VIP gala dinner with acclaimed motorcycling journalist Peter Egan.
The Fireside Chat discussion is a hallmark of The Quail Motorcycle Gathering, offering attendees an in-depth conversation between leading figures in the motorcycle community. For the 2019 celebration, the Fireside Chat will feature an all-female panel with Ginger Damon and 11-year-old Kayla Yaakov. Ginger Damon is the owner and founder of Gigi Montrose Moto Couture, a women’s motorcycling apparel brand focused on creating unique fashion-forward pieces made from innovative materials. Kayla Yaakov is one of the most successful youth motorcycle racers of all time, holding more than 300 race wins and 35 championships including two AMA Grand National Championships. Yaakov also holds the record for the youngest person to compete in a sanctioned full-size motorcycle race against adults and win—a feat she accomplished at just age nine.
Cycle World Editor-In-Chief, Mark Hoyer will also host an exclusive VIP dinner honoring Peter Egan immediately after The Quail Motorcycle Gathering to celebrate the release of Egan’s new book, “THE BEST OF PETER EGAN — Four Decades of Motorcycle Tales and Musings from the pages of Cycle World.” Famed for numerous travel articles and his long-running column in Cycle World magazine, journalist Peter Egan has been a fixture in motorcycling culture for 40 years.
