WOT!? No Straps!?

I just saw this article on BIKEME about the VOZZ strapless helmet. “WOT!?” , you say. “First a strapless dress, then a strapless bra… now a strapless HELMET!?” , you cry.
Well, I didn’t invent it. I just saw it. You can check it out here:
The VOZZ strapless wonder.

I agree that it does look a bit scary to try out, but I agree with the editor, it’s because it’s new and scary technology that throws sand in the face of convention.
I also have to agree that it may not be for everyone. The bearded, the claustrophobic, the Jay Leno. The actual silhouette leaves a little to be desired in the aesthetics department as well.
It sounds as though it’s no less safe than a modular, and the full, deep base might help blocking wind for cold weather or blu-tooth calling. On the flip side, it does look like it might not vent as nicely as a more openly designed one.

Which could explain the large ugly vents on the top. The amount of air flow required to keep cool or prevent fogging probably kept the designers on their toes during the development and testing phases.
